Asharqia Chamber Chairman: The “Asharqia Chamber” Database of Transport Companies Is a Driver of Logistics Efficiency

Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, affirmed that providing an integrated and comprehensive database of transport companies in the Eastern Province represents a strategic step in enhancing logistics efficiency, strengthening the resilience of supply chains under the current circumstances, and facilitating access to reliable service providers.

He explained that the “Transport Companies Database” initiative aims directly at accelerating trade exchange by connecting exporters and importers with an organized and highly reliable transport network.

Al-Farraj noted that providing accurate and transparent data would enable establishments to make sound operational decisions based on clear information, contributing to reducing logistics costs and creating a fair competitive environment among land transport companies, which in turn reflects on the sustainability of supply chains.

Asharqia Chamber recently announced the launch of a specialized and comprehensive database of land transport companies in the Eastern Province, as part of its package of development initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the import and export system and supporting the sustainability of supply chains in the region and the Kingdom.

Al-Farraj said that this initiative comes in response to the rapid transformations in the logistics sector and to strengthen bridges of communication and facilitate the exchange of information among establishments operating in this field, calling on all transport companies in the Eastern Province to update their data and register through the dedicated link to ensure their inclusion in this comprehensive database.

He said that through this step the Chamber seeks to catalogue and classify all transport companies and the various modes of transport in the Eastern Province, with the aim of providing a reliable reference for investors and exporters that facilitates access to logistics services and contributes to organizing the sector and raising its level of competitiveness and quality.

Al-Farraj affirmed that the initiative comes as part of the Chamber’s commitment to the targets of Vision 2030 aimed at turning the Kingdom into a global logistics hub, stressing the vital role played by the Eastern Province in domestic and foreign trade thanks to its strategic location and advanced infrastructure.
