HE the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Meets with the Business Sector and Investors at Asharqia Chamber

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, met with businessmen and businesswomen in the Eastern Province as part of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen partnership and communication with the private sector, in a meeting organized by Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the presence of Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, a number of Board members, and businessmen, businesswomen, investors, and entrepreneurs.

The meeting was held to discuss the Ministry’s key initiatives in stimulating the private sector, localization, and turning challenges into successful opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors, and businessmen’s views and proposals in support of the work and investment environment were heard.

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, affirmed that these meetings come within the Ministry’s strategy of strengthening cooperation with the business sector, in support of labor market development and the achievement of the labor market strategy’s targets, and to discuss labor market challenges and future opportunities for cooperation.

The meeting reviewed the Saudi labor market strategy and its focus on creating an attractive and sustainable work environment, the Ministry’s initiatives to enhance private sector participation in employment and development, localization, and the developed Nitaqat program, which encourages establishments to raise localization rates in jobs.

Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj commended the Ministry’s efforts, which have had a profound impact on improving the work environment and strengthening its standing regionally and globally, through its focus on improving contractual relations, documenting and digitizing contracts, protecting wages, and empowering young people and developing their skills in keeping with market needs, in addition to many initiatives that encourage the business sector to expand localization, and programs concerned with empowering women.

Al-Farraj affirmed that the meeting is a platform for constructive dialogue between the Ministry and the business sector in the Eastern Province on issues relevant to the private sector, the work environment, and its latest developments, hoping that its outcomes will contribute to strengthening the approach of partnership and integration and driving the sustainable development journey that our country is pursuing with confident steps.
