Al-Farraj pointed to the importance of the conference as a pivotal meeting point that brought together the region’s major energy producers with the small and medium companies operating in the energy sector, and helped open new contracting and investment horizons, giving local contractors and suppliers direct access to decision-makers in major global companies. It also supported the targets of industrial localization by enhancing local content and enabling national companies to learn the standards and requirements needed to compete in international markets.
He added that the conference also provided comprehensive knowledge and a forward-looking view of upcoming projects in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors, which will undoubtedly help companies with long-term strategic planning and building more sustainable business models, affirming that the conference represented an ideal environment for building strategic partnerships and forging alliances between local and international companies, contributing to the provision of integrated services for major energy projects in the Eastern Province.
