The first meeting of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors in its twentieth term, held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Chamber’s main headquarters, resulted in the election of Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi as First Vice Chairman, and Mohammed bin Ali Al-Majdouie as Second Vice Chairman.
Following the meeting, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj affirmed that the new Board of Directors is determined to continue the Chamber’s journey by contributing effectively to achieving sustainable economic development in the Eastern Province and strengthening its standing as a model to be emulated in looking after the business sector, by providing innovative services that meet the aspirations of the business sector and contribute to expanding its participation in the national economy.
He explained that Asharqia Chamber is moving ahead in supporting the targets of Vision 2030, strengthening the paths of economic and developmental progress for the business sector, acting as an effective platform for enhancing channels of communication locally and internationally, contributing to providing an attractive and stimulating economic environment for investment, and empowering economic establishments of all sizes and activities in all governorates of the region.
Al-Farraj noted that since its establishment, Asharqia Chamber has continued to perform its developmental role through tangible steps that have contributed to supporting the growth of the national economy, according to a vision and strategy based on leadership and excellence in looking after the interests of the business sector. He affirmed his commitment, and that of the members of the new Board of Directors, to working on the sustainable development of the Chamber and strengthening its institutional presence at all levels, in integration with its executive body to complete the journey and achieve the aspirations of the members. He affirmed that the new Board of Directors carries an ambitious direction with regard to strengthening the concepts of cooperation and partnership, in a way that contributes to creating a strategic impact on economic decision-making and supporting the competitiveness of the business environment in the Eastern Province, in addition to continuing to explore and strengthen the region’s economic and community standing and developing the tools of institutional excellence for the Chamber and the business sector alike.
The Board of Directors was appointed by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, for its twentieth term, which extends for four years starting from 19 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to Thursday, January 8, 2026, and comprises: Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Dossary, Aghareed bint Ihsan Abduljawad, Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Raqeeb, Sarah bint Essam Al-Muhaideb, Abdulrahman bin Khalid Al-Zamil, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Bassam, Ali bin Abdullah Al-Saihati, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al-Jabr, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, Mohammed bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rashed, and Mohammed bin Ali Al-Majdouie.
