Extension of the Storage Fee Exemption Period for Transit Goods

Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45549045/19), dated (23/11/1447 AH), referring to the letter of the Saudi Ports Authority No. (1/38/28218), dated (16/11/1447 AH), corresponding to (3/5/2026), which includes the Authority’s Circular No. (17) of 2026 regarding the extension of the storage fee exemption period for transit goods, as per the Authority’s letter.

  • Legal basis:
  1. The Port Service Fees and Charges Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/42), dated (2/7/1405 AH), and its amendments.
  2. The regulatory and supervisory powers vested in the Saudi Ports Authority under Council of Ministers Resolution No. (299), dated (11/6/1439 AH).
  3. Saudi Ports Authority Circulars No. (4) of 2024, No. (10) of 2025, and No. (11) of 2026.
  • Instructions:

First: Extension of the storage fee exemption period (transit) for general cargo, Ro-Ro cargo, and any other goods (except containers) to (15) days at each of (King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port, and NEOM Port).

Second: This circular takes effect from (5/5/2026) for a period of two months.
