Dear Esteemed Chamber Subscribers,

May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (12/4/2026), referring to the Ministry of Commerce letter No. (28172), dated (21/10/1447 AH), attached to the letter of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of the Transport General Authority No. (5527/47/1), dated (16/10/1447 AH), regarding the Authority’s efforts to support the land freight transport sector in light of the increased demand for land freight transport services as a result of the current situation. To ensure the continuity of the sector’s business, the Authority has worked on a number of initiatives, including: (permitting establishments licensed in the heavy goods transport activity for commercial purposes “for the establishment’s own account” to contract for the transport of goods for third parties).

Accordingly, Transport General Authority Board of Directors Decision No. (1/8/TR/2026/4), dated (7/10/1447 AH), was issued, allowing service providers in the heavy goods transport activity for commercial purposes “for the establishment’s own account” to contract for the transport of goods they do not own, subject to issuing a transport document for each shipment, on an exceptional basis until (14/4/1448 AH), corresponding to (25/9/2026).

Please accept our sincere regards and appreciation.
