Dear Esteemed Chamber Subscribers,
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (9/3/2026), referring to the urgent letter from the Ministry of Commerce No. ( 26179), dated (20/9/1447 AH), regarding the Ministry of Commerce’s keenness to regulate the e-commerce sector, enhance consumer confidence, and ensure the quality of the services provided, and with reference to the shared responsibility for ensuring that products are delivered to shipping companies by commercial establishments and online stores before the arrival of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, in light of the current logistical challenges in supply chains and global shipping routes, in accordance with Article Fourteen, paragraph two, of the E-Commerce Law (the service provider is obliged to inform the consumer of any expected delay or difficulties that have a material effect on the delivery or performance of the subject of the contract).
The Ministry of Commerce urges all commercial establishments and online stores to adhere to shipping deadlines for both international and domestic shipments. The last date for shipping companies to receive international shipments will be (20/9/1447 AH), while the last date for receiving domestic shipments will be (25/9/1447 AH). It is important that online stores and commercial establishments inform consumers of any difficulties hindering the delivery of products, while giving the consumer the option to rescind the contract.
For your information
Please accept our sincere regards and appreciation.
