Regulations for the Use of the Frequency Spectrum for Programme Making and Special Events Applications

Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (9/3/2026), referring to the urgent telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. ( 25451), dated (1/3/2026), regarding the telegram of His Excellency the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission No. (260221005), dated (4/9/1447 AH), which includes the Commission’s Decision No. (563), dated (14/5/1447 AH), regarding the regulations for the use of the frequency spectrum for programme making and special events (PMSE) applications, which set out the provisions and regulatory frameworks related to the use of the frequency spectrum for these applications. This included regulating the use of the frequency spectrum for operating “wireless microphones, wireless audio and video transmission systems, remote control systems, wireless cameras, wireless devices used in media broadcasting and television coverage, and other devices used in radio and television production” (PMSE).
Given that non-compliance with the provisions of these regulations may result in technical and operational challenges affecting the quality of the services provided during events, including the possibility of service interruption or harmful radio interference that may hinder the operation of the technical systems associated with the events.
