Dear Esteemed Chamber Subscribers,
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45546448/19), dated (8/9/1447 AH), which refers to the Ministry of Commerce letter No. (24453), dated (29 /8/1447 AH), which includes the Ministry’s keenness to enhance the efficiency of the external environment in a manner that serves the business sector and consumers and achieves a balance between consumer protection and the development of commercial activity. In preparation for the month of Ramadan season, which sees a high increase in the volume of purchase orders through commercial establishments and online stores, the Ministry advises that it receives reports relating to delays in delivering orders to consumers by commercial establishments and online stores, as a result of some establishments and stores not aligning their inventory with the goods offered. Monitoring work has also revealed that some commercial establishments and online stores have contracts with parcel transport companies not licensed by the Transport General Authority, which has directly contributed to increasing delays in orders. The Ministry wishes to circulate to all commercial establishments and online stores the necessity of aligning inventory with the goods offered in their branches and online stores, and to oblige those establishments and stores to contract with the parcel transport companies licensed by the Transport General Authority and shown on the Transport General Authority portal, to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations and raise the quality of the services provided to consumers.
Please accept our sincere regards and appreciation.
