Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45545254/19), dated (17/8/1447 AH), which refers to the Federation’s receipt of an urgent telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. (23236), dated (15/8/1447 AH), which refers to the telegram of His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. ( 34077/1), dated (14/8/1447 AH), regarding the Authority’s monitoring of international reports on food safety in the countries of the world. Based on the immediate notification report issued by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on (27/7/1447 AH), corresponding to (16/1/2026), which states that highly pathogenic avian influenza has been brought under control in the department of (Ain ) in the French Republic and that no new outbreak of the disease has been recorded there, and after the Authority studied the health situation and reviewed the recommendations of the World Organisation for Animal Health set out in Article (10.4 ) of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code, which indicate that the ban may be lifted, the Authority’s Decision No. (33704/1), dated (10/8/1447 AH), corresponding to (29/1/2026), was issued lifting the temporary ban imposed on the import of poultry meat, table eggs, and their products from the department of (Ain ) in the French Republic.
