Endowments Committee

Introduction

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has devoted great attention and care to the waqf sector, contributing to its development and growth and strengthening its role in the country’s development journey. All our sectors—and foremost among them the waqf sector—are at the forefront of our great renaissance, to which the sector makes a substantial contribution through its significant returns. These returns benefit not only the economy but also our cultural development, as the sector helps establish diverse waqf institutions that support our development objectives. Given the importance of the waqf sector and the extent of its impact, it is essential for us as specialists to present new proposals that enhance the efficiency of waqfs and increase the growth and reach of their investments within society.

Waqf is one of the most important fields of charitable giving, one of the richest and broadest sources of good, and among the greatest, most enduring, and most impactful forms of reward.
