His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, patrons the activities of the "productive families exhibition 2018" that will be organized by Asharqia Chamber in its fourth edition in cooperation with the Dhahran International Exhibitions Company (Expo). It would take place at Dhahran Exhibitions in Al-Baraka on the Dammam-Al-Khobar highway road, during the period from 11 -15 December 2018.
The Chairman of the Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that the exhibition aims at developing productive families through supporting their productive work, transforming them from assistance to active economic participation, and spreading the concept of self-employment.
It also helps in the development of their leadership skills and special work, in addition to integration with associations that provide services to productive families, and the preservation of local heritage through handicrafts.
AlKhalidi stressed that the organization of such an event falls within the framework of the support of the Chamber for all projects, programs and events that encourage national efforts to combat unemployment through providing job opportunities for Saudis.
He pointed out that productive families are one of the most important sectors that provide jobs, especially for Saudi women.
Moreover, he pointed out that the support of productive families involves both economic and social outcomes. He explained that Asharqia Chamber supports the productive families sector within the scope of social responsibility as an investment sector that adds value to the national economy and encourages innovation among Saudi families.
Al Khalidi said that the fourth edition of this year's exhibition targets more than 320 productive families to increase the contribution of these families to the development of their activities and the marketing of their products.
He pointed out that a number of criteria have been put in place to select the productive families that will participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will be preceded by a series of developmental training courses for all registered families, whether they are selected or not.
Al-Khalidi said that Asharqia Chamber would provide the opportunity for incubators of productive families, which may reach 25 incubators this year, by giving them free platforms to introduce their services to businessmen and visitors.
