The Prince of Eastern Province sponsors the 2024 Environmental Investment Forum
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province, Asharqia Chamber is organizing the Environmental Investment Forum 2024 next May under the slogan "Recovery and Sustainability."
The forum aims to enable investors to access diverse investment opportunities in the environmental sector and familiarize them with the support programs and financial funding provided by the state for environmental projects.
The Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Badr bin Sulaiman Al-Ruzaiza, praised the patronage and interest of His Royal Highness the Prince of the Province in all activities and events of the Eastern Province Chamber. This reflects his keen interest in the private sector and its role in advancing the sector and businessmen in serving the region and the nation.
Al-Ruzaiza stated that the environmental sector receives significant attention from the state and is included in the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The state has implemented various initiatives to preserve and protect the environment from pollution factors, creating balanced and comprehensive strategies aimed at conservation, raising awareness of environmental standards, and ensuring compliance with them. The state has also sought to utilize the environment within the framework of its sustainable development efforts, which ensure meeting the developmental and environmental needs of present and future generations.
Al-Ruzaiza emphasized that the environmental sector is of utmost importance in preserving renewable natural resources in terrestrial, marine, and atmospheric environments. It provides the necessary foundation for achieving comprehensive and sustainable growth, food security, enhancing human welfare, and improving the quality of life in line with aspirations. Therefore, the forum aims to highlight the importance of the environment and ways to preserve it, address the impact of environmental regulations on the business sector, review investment opportunities for businesses in the environmental field, and explore available financing channels for investors in the environmental sector.
He noted that the forum supports environmental protection practices through extracting experiences, reviewing and evaluating opportunities provided by regulations in achieving environmental sustainability and its effects on the private sector, enriching dialogue and discussion on the mechanisms and applications of the national environmental strategy, desertification and its combat, state efforts in environmental reform and evaluation, and other topics relevant to the Kingdom's experience in environmental investment.
