The Ministry of Commerce is reviewing its electronic services to manage records and trade names
On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, the supervisor of the businesswomen sector in the branch of the Ministry of Trade in the Eastern Region, Professor Sarah Mohamed Al-Nasser, reviewed the electronic services of the records and trade names management system for individual institutions during the monthly meeting of businesswomen, which was held by the Center of Businesswomen of the Asharqia Chamber of Women, through visual communication technology And many women businessmen from the region participated in it.
According to Al-Nasser, according to the accelerated technological development, which the Ministry is keen to pursue, the steps to start the commercial activity have been shortened from 4 steps to one step via one electronic platform, as well as issuing the commercial registry in a period that takes only 180 seconds.
Al-Nasser explained the steps for issuing the commercial register, saying: It is through four steps that start with entering the service and choosing the trade name, then entering and confirming the commercial information, and thirdly paying the unified bill that includes the commercial registry fees and the membership of the Chamber of Commerce through a payment system, and finally the issuance of the commercial register and membership number in the Chamber of Commerce is electronic.
Regarding the choice of the trade name, Al-Nasser indicated that he would enter the service of the trade names, choose the type of the name, fill in the data, and then reserve the name, noting that there are three cases on which the trade names may be rejected, and therefore work when choosing the name to avoid them, Such as having a similar name or mentioning activity in the name or surname.
Al-Nasser pointed out that there is a group of differences between the trade name and the trademark, one must pay attention to them. The first is the name that a commercial project trades for commercial purposes that is legally registered and used in official contracts and positions. An establishment or to indicate the performance of a service or to conduct control or inspection of goods or services and is used in the facilities panels.
As for the advantages of the electronic commercial registry, Al-Nasser said that it gives the opportunity to choose between several proposed trade names, in addition to reducing the period of issuance, renewal or amendment to less than two minutes, and allowing the electronic linking process with the official authorities to document and match the record data.
Al-Nasser went on to say: The service enables obtaining approved commercial records without papers and membership numbers in the Chamber of Commerce, in addition to the consolidated bill that includes the fees for the registry and the room, in addition to the period of validity of membership in the room coincides with the duration of the commercial registration.
Al-Nasser concluded by explaining the new electronic services that were recently added to the Ministry's website as a service for issuing a commercial registry without requiring electronic licenses to be attached and a service that transformed your organization into a company electronically, as well as submitting the partners ’decision, issuing a certificate of origin, registering a commercial agency contract, and issuing your license for consulting professions, and others from Services such as applying for a commercial statement, and checking for a commercial record.
