The Minister of Trade and Investment will participate in the "Contracting Forum" next December
His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, will participate in the Contracting Forum organized by the Eastern Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Chamber's headquarters.
The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, appreciated the attendance and participation of His Excellency Dr. Al-Qasabi, stressing his keenness to participate in forums and meetings that review the challenges facing the private sector and proximity to citizens and the causes of imbalances in order to propose solutions that contribute to the development of the work mechanism in the sector and provide him a push forward through which he can carry out what is required of him amidst high standards.
Al-Khaldi explained that the contracting sector represents the largest share in the Kingdom's business plan, praising the initiatives and facilities offered to the sector within the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which contributed to the development of the work mechanism in it, pointing to the programs, activities and initiatives of the Contractors Authority and its continued support for the work of this vital sector.
Al-Khaldi stressed that the construction sector is a key partner in the implementation of national projects, pointing to the aspirations of the employees of the sector for more support in order to develop its tools and implement huge development projects.
For his part, Board Member and Chairman of the Chamber's Contracting Committee Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad said that this forum, which is part of the committee's activities for the current year 2019, will address a number of axes that discuss the challenges facing the contracting sector, the role of the sector in the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and its projects. Workers in the sector had to prepare for it according to the latest means and the highest specifications.
Said Al-Hammad that the challenges faced by a variety of different construction sector, there are challenges in the foundation and the other in development, both of which require some interaction, the facility also quality, and we hope this forum can be discussed a lot of topics and come up with recommendations to suit all parties.
