The Logistics Committee in the Asharqia Chamber discusses the challenges of the sector
The Logistics Committee of the Asharqia Chamber held its meeting in which it reviewed the most important issues related to the logistics sector and a number of ideas that contribute to developing the mechanism of work in it.
The head of the committee, Rakan bin Abdulrahman Al-otaishan, who chaired the meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, said that the committee discussed a number of challenges that stand in the way of the business sector, indicating steps that the committee is taking to discuss these challenges with specialists and officials in the relevant departments, through several meetings held. And field visits that it carries out, with the aim of making full use of the services provided by the departments, and as a result, the continuation of work in the sector and the development of its tools.
The committee stressed facing the obstacles facing the logistical sector, such as the commercial cover-up and the work of foreign trucks, as coordination is underway with the relevant authorities to protect the regular investor. The committee also blessed the initiative of the Public Transport Authority to launch the electronic contracts system for renting vehicles through its portal and its positive impact on preserving rights.
Al-Otaishan said that the committee continues to serve the sector by holding its meetings remotely to address the difficulties it faces.
