The Kingdom Exports to Belgium Jump to 608 Million Euros in the 1st Half of 2012
Belgian companies discuss investment opportunities in the Kingdom at Asharqia Chamber
Faisal AlQuraishi, Board Member of Asharqia Chamber, urged Belgian companies to consider establishing manufacturing facilities for their products in cooperation with their Saudi counterparts during the meeting with a high-level Belgian delegation and Saudi businessmen. The meeting was held yesterday, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Chamber in Dammam.
AlQuraishi said during the meeting which was attended by Secretary General of the Chamber that the kingdom has become the most business-friendly country in the Arab World after the economic facilities it provided recently, calling Belgian Companies to benefit from them.
The meeting was attended by Belgian companies specializing in construction, building materials, hydraulic engineering, rail, energy saving and decoration products.
The Commercial Attaché at the Belgian Embassy who headed the delegation said that Belgian companies are interested in investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
He pointed that a number of Belgian companies are working in the kingdom since decades and have strong presence which encouraged other companies to look for commercial partnerships in the Kingdom.
He said that the special relations between the two countries contributed to the development of bilateral trade as it is witnessing a great increase in 2012 as Saudi imports from Belgium reached 824 million Euros during the first half of 2012, compared to 590 million Euros for the whole year of 2011.
Saudi exports to Belgium jumped to 608 million Euros during the first six months of 2012, compared to the size of last year which stood at 595 million Euros.
