The Environment Committee reviews ideas for developing the sector
The Environment Committee in Asharqia Chamber held its meeting Thursday, April 16, 2020, remotely, in which it discussed the impact of the Corona pandemic on the sector.
The meeting concluded with discussing a number of initiatives, the most important of which are: facilitating the renewal of licenses for factories, activating the payment feature of banks, and facilitating the payment of financial abstracts with government agencies.
The meeting discussed the most prominent ideas that contribute to developing the working mechanism in the sector, including a partial exemption from tax for representatives of the environmental sector to encourage their work in light of the current conditions and intensify and monitor the work of the landfills.
In addition to the renewal of the rehabilitation of companies working in medical waste in the Eastern Region for a period of six months, due to the increase in the quantities discharged from hospitals and also the possibility of their pollution.
He also reviewed the importance of warning to violators for the first time, the lack of immediate application of violations, automatic renewal of factories for a period of a year or six months, renewal and immediate granting of the environmental certificate to new factories.
With a grant of 6 months to meet the requirements.
