His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman Al Saud will sponsor the activities of the Logistics Forum 2021, which will be organized by Asharqia Chamber next Sunday 7 November 2021, Where it discusses several topics related to the logistics sector, which is one of the most important objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and within the activities of the Logistics Committee in the Chamber.
Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, said that the forum will discuss the idea of establishing a full-service logistics zone in the eastern region, based on the importance of the region and the relative advantages that characterize it, being the starting point for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries via land and sea, as well as from which exports are launched. And energy and goods to all countries of the world, which is a focal point in the global economy.
Al-Khalidi added that the forum, in which several officials, experts, and specialists will participate, will review all the comparative advantages that characterize the eastern region, as it is the capital of Gulf industrial, and the capital of oil and gas, which hosts several primary and secondary petrochemical industry complexes, as well as the presence of a number of The industrial cities in Dammam, Jubail, Khafji and Ras Al-Khair, and their position has been strengthened in supporting the projects of the Kingdom's vision, which aspires to be a global logistics platform.
Al-Khalidi pointed out that the forum organized by the Chamber this year comes in light of the remarkable interest of the rational government in this growing sector amid expectations that this gathering will discuss important issues related to the logistics transport industry.
For this part, Chairman of the Chamber's Logistics Committee, Rakan bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaishan, said that the importance of the forum stems from its holding after the launch of the national transport strategy, which emphasized the importance of the Kingdom's location between the three continents (Europe, Africa, and Asia), and from there to North and South America.
Al-Otaishan expressed his hope that this forum will be a new addition to support work options in the logistics field, which is one of the most important areas through which the business sector can participate in supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
