• The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber: Energy City stimulates global and domestic investments

    The City of King Salman Energy (SPARK) comes on an area of 50 square kilometers in the Eastern Region between Dammam and Al-Ahsa, and its first phase was launched on an area of 12 kilometers on Monday, December 10, 2018 by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

     

    On this regard, the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad al-Ammar al-Khalidi, said that this project represents a qualitative leap in attracting international and domestic investments with a world-class infrastructure that will provide an enabling environment for investment in industry, mining, energy and logistics.

    He stressed that it comes to confirm the national options set by the vision of 2030 to give the Kingdom an access to a large industrial power and a global logistics platform.

    He sent his congratulation to the wise leadership on the launch of such mega projects, which diversify the sources of national income, as the Kingdom's launch towards wider horizons in a number of vital sectors.

     

    Al Khalidi pointed to the positive effects reflected by the inauguration of the first phase of the city on the economic movement, not only in the Eastern region, but also in the rest of the Kingdom that to find more investment opportunities for national companies, especially small and medium enterprises, as well as creating more jobs for national labor forces,not to mention the long-term returns, especially those related to diversification of exports and the development of wills and the establishment of enterprises and the creation of industrial bases based on the foundations of innovation and development.

    He pointed out that the bet today on the economic sectors with qualitative investments and distinct, which add value to the national economy.

     

    Al Khalidi stressed the ideal location of the city as it is located in the heart of energy and oil related business, and in an area full of national cadres and expertise in related fields.

    He pointed out that the City opens the field in the near term to entrepreneurs from the Eastern Region to be more promising investment opportunities, which requires the knowledge of the stages of the city and the productive and operational needs of each stage of the city and working in providing them.​
