Sri Lankan Ambassador discusses investment opportunities in tourism and trade with Asharqia Chamber
Asharqia Chamber organized on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at its headquarters, a meeting on investment opportunities in the tourism and trade sectors with the Republic of Sri Lanka, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom, Omar Amir Ajoud, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, where they reviewed the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Sri Lanka, and discussed aspects of economic cooperation and ways to enhance communication to serve the business sector in the two countries. The meeting was attended by the Second Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, and the Secretary-General of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil. Al-Khalidi said during the meeting, which was attended by those interested and specialized in the fields of tourism and trade, that the economic and trade relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Sri Lanka are moving to a higher level of economic partnerships, which opens the way for the business community in the two countries to promising future investment options in many fields such as agriculture, mining, tourism, health care, and others. Al-Khalidi also pointed out that the two countries are facing a new phase in the development and growth of relations, and that the agreement of views, interest and mutual efforts to develop economic, tourism, investment and trade relations indicates that economic relations between the two countries will take an important position on the map of global trade exchange, and that the coming periods will witness great development and promising investment opportunities that will open the way for the business community of the two countries to have distinguished investment partnerships in various fields.
