Souq.com and Kareem agree on the fertility of the region for e-commerce projects.
Representatives
of Kareem and Souq.com agreed on the fertility of the region for e-commerce
projects, especially as it still accounts for 1.4% of the region total market,
compared with 15% in the international market.
They
also agreed on the importance of applying ideas in the field of e-commerce, in
line with the market and society together, and that procedures and regulations,
despite their challenges, that could be overcome with greater effort and
perseverance.
They stressed that increasing consumer
culture is one of the most important tools for project success, and that it is
essential for the pioneers when establishing their companies to be managed
according to sustainability convictions rather than sales.
The
seminar was organized by Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday, 26 April, and was
attended by a group of business pioneers
in the Eastern Region. It was headed by
the Creative Content Officer in the channel Sin, Ibrahim Al Qahtani. Kareem
in Saudi Arabia moderator, Eng. Hatem Al Kahli, and General Manager of Souq.com
in Saudi Arabia, Saleem Hammad.
Hammad
said that Souk.com started with a different name, a written auction, but after
Yahoo acquisition of Maktoob, we split with Souq.com, a reference to the
continued growth of Souq.com and its expansion year after year to the company annual
development approach since its launch, referring to the challenges that face
the company and how to solve them, such as the challenge of electronic payment

Regarding
