Asharqia Chamber concluded its program entitled "How To Develop Your Small Business Enterprise", the first program of its kind in Saudi Arabia for entrepreneurs, on Sunday, June 28, 2009. The program that was designed and implemented by the Chamber under the auspices of the National Commercial Bank.
The program sought to increase professionalism in project management during the10 day, fifty hour training course. At the end of the program, the Chamber held a graduation ceremony for the first batch of 27 graduates who participated in this cooperative effort between the Small Investor Training Program - one of several programs offered by the Chamber's SME's Development Center- and the Small Business Program, one of the programs offered by the Community Service Department of National Commercial Bank.
Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Nuiem, the Secretary-General of Asharqia Chamber, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to continue to develop their management skills with their new knowledge. Al-Nueim also said that he hoped the program would help owners and managers of small and medium enterprises to improve the competitiveness of their businesses.
Al-Nueim thanked the National Commercial Bank of the Eastern Region and Omar bin Abdullah Al-Jurayfaani, the Manager of Social Services Department at NCB for his contribution to the success of the program testified to by the graduates.
The program was a part of the ongoing strategy of the Chamber to expand its programs for training young business owners and managers of small enterprises in order to increase their competitiveness on both the local and international levels.
