Prince
Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region, announced the Honorary
Chairman of the Committee of Friends of Patients in the Region, His Royal
Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vicar of the Committee
on 23 May 2017 at its headquarters.
He
welcomed His Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd, pointing to the great keenness of
his patients, and his interest in social affairs, and he will be the best
support of this meeting in all its activities.
Chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan,
Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and members of the
Committee said that since its establishment, the Kingdom has been keen to
support charity and voluntary works, to help the efforts of the development
process in all regions, and to allow the community to give its energies in the
development of this precious land, and then the order of the King Fahd bin
Abdulaziz, in 1405 AH of the approval of establishing the committees, and
continued to support these committees that are doing their job in the medical
community service, and to achieve the principle of Islamic solidarity and
humanity our religion urged to.
He
explained that this principle is an essential part of our religion, which is a
great value of the values of the Saudi person and the Muslim man, and this
value is reflected in our society on multiple levels, both locally and
internationally. Internationally, King Salman Center offered great
efforts in helping the needy people in various parts of the world.
Locally,
there are many activities and charities, medical and other, which provide
support the needy, and we here in the Eastern region are proud of many of these associations, centers and
specialized committees and we refer to the focus of our meeting today the Committee
of Friends of Patients in the Eastern Region, More
than 3 decades ago, made great efforts in serving patients and sanitation.
He
added: "What we have reviewed today of efforts made and will be made in
the service of patients and the health sector in the Eastern Region has been a great
success for all the achievements of the past meetings. This Committee has made
efforts and worked during the past months since the last meeting. To
the patients and their families by contributing to the provision of medical
devices and equipment and providing support to patients in need, having become
an effective link between the businessmen and needy patients, in support and
care of the by the country and solidarity meeting and health
sector .
"We
hope to expand the role of the committee in the development of health work in
the region in cooperation with the Directorate General of Health affairs in the
region, along with the aspirations of the wise leadership and to meet the needs
of health facilities in the region, we
also hope that the Committee will contribute effectively to health awareness,
the development of awareness campaigns in the region, and work on the financial
sustainability of the Committee resources, so that it will continue to be granted,
and we urge the Committee and its members to work on effective partnerships
with all business owners. The
work of the Committee, and the Committee cooperation and communication provide
the region with the community to contribute to its programs and activities, and
to allow for the contribution of views, ideas and suggestions, and that the
Committee benefit from the experience and expertise of similar committees at
the local and international levels.
At
the end of his speech, His Highness thanked the members of the Committee and
its supporters for their contribution financially and moral support to promote the
work of the Committee. His Highness stressed that the ambitions for the work of
the Committee are the same. in
our beloved country, and its experience of excellence for everyone, with smilies
drawn on the lips of patients and their families.
For
his part, Dr. Al Saluke appreciated the support and follow up of His Highness the
Prince of the Committee in the region and its activities, which is no stranger
to His Highness in supporting everything that would strengthen the march of
charitable and humanitarian work in the region.
Al
Saluke said that the Friends of Patients Committee, since its establishment for
more than three decades, took great steps in spreading its mission and working
according to its vision to achieve its goals in serving the needy patients and
helping them overcome their health, psychological and social conditions by
providing them with a decent life to
return to society once again while healthy and able to continue their
lives in a natural way.
The
last year is considered a witness to the extent of the growing support and
contributions from the businessmen in the Region, with the amount of six million nine hundred thousand riyals,
which reflected positively on the performance and activities and services
provided to patients and hospitals.
The
Committee has also presented a model for outstanding performance and a sense of
responsibility towards the society, as well as in the partnership and
cooperation between government and private bodies in the service, support and
financing of related work with the assistance of patients. He stressed that the
Committee continues to carry out its duties towards the needy patients of the
region.
At the end, The Prince of the Eastern Region also honored the members
of the committee supporting its work. The Chairman of the Committee also
presented a souvenir to His Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef and presented a
souvenir to His Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahad bin Salman.
