Al Wabel: A hope of preparing local SME's to compete internationally
According to the great role played by Small and Medium Enterprises (SME's) in our national economy; where more than 50% of the country’s workforce is employed by these companies which occupies an important role among the chamber priorities. Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with Naseba Group organizes the SME's Economic Forum 2011 to be held in the chamber headquarter during 29-30 March 2011 corresponding with 24-25 Rabi Al-Thani showing the main constraints faced by the SME's sector of to come up with recommendations to highlight more on youth creativity and taking it to the next implementing phase.
As mentioned by Asharqia Chamber Acting Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel who emphasized that the forum is held under the title: (Small and Medium Enterprises .. an essential role of economic diversification) seeks through to identify best economic sectors that can be invest through by supporting the SME's.
Al Wabel added that Forum sessions will be held at the main Chamber in Dammam in which a number of experts in the field of development the SME's enterprises will take place, including several workshops will be organized in cooperation with consulting firms specialized in providing expertise on financial management, feasibility studies and ways of communication with major companies region ..
Adding that Forum goals which is being held for the fourth time to goes over linking the small and medium enterprises with the research and development centers, universities and various educational institutions .. Pointing out that the Chamber is keen through this forum to resolve the obstacles of funding, which is one of the most difficult obstacles faced by the young man to start or expand his small project.
