Riyadh Economic Forum
was held in cooperation with Asharqia Chamber on Thursday, January 19, 2017
morning in the main headquarters of Asharqia
Chamber in Dammam the second meeting to study the (the role of the private sector in achieving the future vision goals of
the Kingdom in 2030), the results of this meeting that was attended by
Chairman of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan and Secretary General
Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, with its results and recommendations in the events of the eighth
court of the forum in November 2017.
The
discussion meeting which was attended by 74 participants of specialists
and those concerned figures with the economy and the subject of study and
businessmen, academics and employees of the public sector, the study
methodology and steps to conduct and the desired goals within the framework of
the kingdom vision to restructure the national economy to keep pace with global
developments and facing the difficulties in the local and international challenges,
taking in consideration a number of changes such as the not depending on oil as
the main source of revenue to the country.
Participants
pointed in the meeting to a number of issues about the role of the private
sector in achieving the future vision of the Kingdom in 2030 and its part
relating to the economic development and ensuring the
achievement of plans and programs and their goals, which aims to support and enhance
the national economy.
They
also pointed to the multiplicity of agencies involved in this vision and the
importance to unify and coordinate their efforts in the coming stage, pointing that
taking the study of the subject must have a high degree of clarity and
transparency, noting the need for public and private sector cooperation to
achieve the vision goals, praising in this regard the study and its role in achieve
the future vision and goals of the country support for the efforts to achieve
the sustainable progress.
The
Advisory team to study has introduced a review through the review which explained the importance of the
study in terms of its efforts to improve the private sector role in achieving
the vision of the future goals to contribute to the economic development and
deal with all the obstacles and challenges they face, as well as researching the empowerment of the private sector in
achieving the role to
reach the desired goal.
Worth
mentioning is that the Riyadh Economic Forum held several workshops outside the
city of Riyadh for this study in the Eastern Region in a series of such meetings
to know the role of the private sector in the region to achieve the future
vision of the Kingdom goals of 2030 as well as the privacy of the Eastern Region
and the importance of its participation in the stages of preparing the study.
In
conclusion the board Member Najib Al sehati honored the vicar of the chairman of
the board of the Riyadh Economic Forum Ali Al Othaim with a memorial shield, also
Al Othaim gave the member of the Council Al Sehati a memorial gift.
