Reviewing the mechanism for classifying contractors and new engineering offices in the Asharqia Chamber
On Thursday, July 11, 2024, at its headquarters, the Asharqia Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, represented by the City Operators Regulatory Agency, organized a workshop entitled (Updates to the Mechanism for Classifying Contractors and Engineering Offices), which witnessed the presence of the business sector and specialists in the field of contractors and engineering offices.
The Director General of Contractors and Engineers Authority Affairs, Engineer Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, the Director General of Classification, Engineer Walid bin Akhtar Sultan, and the Director General of Business Quality, Engineer Mishal bin Mardi Al-Anzi, participated in the workshop.
The workshop participants spoke during the meeting moderated by Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad, a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, about introducing the classification system, the application mechanism on the Baladi platform, the technical and financial standards, and the services of the city service providers classification portal.
During the meeting, member of the Board of Directors, Hamad Al-Hammad, stressed the importance of joint and continuous efforts between the Chamber and government sectors in order to create greater awareness in the business sector, and raise awareness among establishments in the contracting and engineering consulting sector about the importance of obtaining a certificate of classification of city service providers to enter into competition and procurement system projects.
