Asharqia Chamber, represented by its branch in Qatif Governorate, is planning to establish a number of workshops to discuss important economic issues in the Province during the coming months of this year, as part of its study of investment opportunities in the province and ways to monitor and turn them into value-added projects for the national economy.
The Business Council in Asharqia Chamber's branch in Qatif, chaired by the chairman of the Council Abdulmohsen bin Abdul Majid al-Faraj, discussed the issue of the establishment of an extended workshop on the real estate sector in the province, and the formation of a working group in this regard in the hope of participation of a number of stakeholders in the workshop, which is approved by the Council.
The most prominent topics include the stumbling of some real estate schemes in the province, some projects and markets under construction such as the fish and vegetable markets in Tarout, and the proposals for real estate development in the province (the development of Corniche and the proposal to build a third floor in some approved schemes).
In its meeting that was held on Tuesday January 8, 2019, the Council also discussed the idea of establishing another workshop on the fisheries sector, which deals with (investment opportunities for the agricultural sector and fisheries, the challenges of financing and marketing, etc.)
In this regard, the attendees stressed the importance of organizing a workshop to explain the mechanism of calculating calories in meals in coordination with the Hospitality and Recreation Committee of Asharqia Chamber and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
Within the framework of the Council's keenness to develop investment in the province, the conclusion of this study was confirmed after taking the views of the members of the Council prior to its adoption during the current month.
The meeting reviewed a list of personalities and government officials in order to host them in the monthly meetings of businessmen in the province that to discuss a number of investment opportunities and strengthen communication between the private and public sectors.
