Private Sector Awaiting the Launch of Armed Forces Exhibition Next Month
Organized by the Ministry of Defense in partnership with Asharqia Chamber atDhahran Exhibition Centerin December
15 thousand opportunities for manufacturing and supplying spare parts, equipment and materials for the Armed Forces
Private sector awaits the launch of the biggest event in the Kingdom as the Ministry of Defense will offer more than 15 thousand opportunities for manufacturing and supplying spare parts, equipment and materials to businessmen and companies at the awaited Armed Forces Exhibition. The Exhibition is organized by the Ministry in a strategic partnership with Asharqia Chamber andishosted by Dhahran International Exhibition Co. from 8th to 13th of December, 2012.
Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, Secretary General of the Chamber, explained that the Exhibitionwill offer valuable opportunities to the private sector to manufacture the various needs of the Saudi Armed Forces and major national companies for equipment and spare parts.
He also pointed that the Exhibition seeks to create promising investment opportunities for the private sector and seeks to benefit from domestic capabilities and potentials in addition to creating a long term strategic relation with the private sector in domestic manufacturing.
He added that the Exhibition aims atinforming the private sector of the Armed Forces' needs and requirements for materials and spare parts that can be manufactured domestically in addition to establishing communication channels for planning and follow-up among Ministry of Defense, national companies, factories and research centers to promote domestic manufacturing.
The Exhibition also sheds light on preparing local factories to manufacture spare parts domestically and develop production in accordance with international quality, standards and requirements through opening joint cooperation channels among the Armed Forces, companies, local factories and private sector.
On the other hand, Mohammed bin Hamad al-Husseini, CEO ofDhahran International Exhibition Co. , said that the Exhibition is a great opportunity for the private sector to manufacture various equipment and spare parts that will be on display in the Exhibition during the event.
