Princess Jawaher launches the "Young Businesswomen Forum" in the Eastern Region

Her Royal highness Princess Jawaher Bint Nayef bin Abdulaziz, has launched yesterday the (Young Businesswomen Forum... development and leadership) organized by Asharqia Chamber on 3 and 4 April in chamber main building.
In her speech at the opening of the forum, The Manager of Businesswomen Center,Mrs.Hind Al-Zahid said that the forum comes as an extension of the many initiatives organized by the Eastern Chamber, to develop the business sector, and support its role in the development process, and reflects the chamber's interest in developing young women cadres in the economic sector in particular, She said the forum expresses the Chamber and the Young Businesswomen Council goals including: guiding young businesswomen to manage their businesses on scientific and technical basis, and enhance the competitiveness of the businesswomen establishments through subtracting the challenges and discussing the ways to overcome them, as well as reviewing the successful experiences of a number of businesswomen.
Al-Zahid emphasized the forum important role towards better understanding for the obstacles faced by young businesswomen, recognizing the challenges facing their facilities, the Chamber represented by Businesswomen Center is confident about the forum capability for better solutions in order to achieve the objectives we seeks through organizing this Forum. She praised the role played by Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz in supporting small projects.
Ayla Al-Shadawi,Head of Young Businesswomen Council explained that this forum differs from other, even with forums that might unite with it in vision and goals, the difference was probably in style and mechanisms, noting that this forum had already started before three months in its workshops.
She expressed her hope that the program will contribute the Council's vision and ambition to be the pioneer in the development of young businesseswomen in the region, with its message, which tend to develop and support young businesswomen work and contribute to creating an economic support.
On the other hand during the opening ceremony, they reviews the workshops results which was held in Jubail and Dammam, and attended by 80 businesswomen, , submitted by the the Council member;Munira Al-Zamil stating that the results of workshops showed that there is about 9 percent of the audience who affirmed that the reason for attending is in their desire to work, while 3 percent just attended for their desire to quit the government job, 5 percent due to the lack of job opportunities, 11 percent due to the trend towards investment, while 79 percent of the included other reasons as their desire to work in the specialization, and self-growth.
Al- Zamil said that the workshop which was held three months ago in preparation for this event have been explained such challenges as the problem of financing, stating that almost 21% of businesswomen who attended the workshops, have applied for funding from many sectors; the main challenges in this area includes (lack of funding and banks conditions and depriving women from lending in the industrial field and ending the social security of widows and divorcees.
While municipalities difficulties were in the long procedures of granting temporary licenses, the imposition of fees on shop signs according to spaces, the absence of the women's section in the municipalities, the requirements engineering, the requirement of the Arabic project names, the lack of certain activities licenses, the absence of an electronic system to follow up transactions, and the personal view on the approval of the project.
With reference to the Labor Office difficulties which lies in :the long time required by the institutions identification systems, restrictions on the occupations, personal interpretation of the regulations, non-allocation of professions names, involving in the needs of labor needs costs.
