The East Chamber in cooperation with the Saudi Credit and Savings
bank, organizes on next Monday, April 4 at its headquarters, at ten in
the morning, a workshop about opportunities and mechanisms offered by the Bank
to support the communications and information technology projects.
The workshop aim according to Chairman of the Communications and Information Technology
and member of the board of East Chamber of Commerce, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, to
educate young men and women about self-employment, programs and methods of
funding provided by the lending bank for small and emerging projects in
the fields of telecommunications and information technology, which, in
addition to the definition of the mechanisms and regulations of finance the
Bank, giving a brief of the non-financial services such as training and
rehabilitation programs and counseling and guidance services it provides. Al-Sheikh
said that the workshop comes within the efforts of the Committee for
Communications and Information Technology in the chamber in order to
support the ICT sector to grow and expand, pointing to the role of the
interactive role of the Committee in supporting the decision of localizing
communications and Information Technology sector, pointing to the workshops
formed by the Committee before issuing the decision of serving the resettlement
service, explaining that the attracting the Saudi Credit and Savings bank
is a result and a direct support of the decision of the resettlement.
Al-Sheikh stressed, that what the Saudi market is witnessing of strong
competition in the sector, will enhance the demand for information technology
services, therefore a greater openness towards more technical projects of
all sizes and types.
He explained that this workshop beside supporting the decision of resettle
the Information Technology sector, it is considered an embodiment of
cooperation and communication between the chamber on the one hand, and the Bank
of Credit and Savings on the other hand, calling the pioneers and entrepreneurs
to attend to take advantage and knowledge with the programs and loans of
different types whether social or productive, and all services and
facilities offered by the bank, especially regarding the projects of
telecommunications and information technology and how to take advantage of it.
