Al-Qahtani: trade delegations the size of efforts contributed to the strengthening of partnership in the development of the business sector in the two countries
The head of theBusiness Council ofthe governorate ofAl-JubailMutlaq Al-Qahtani,the news ofthejoint efforts ofofficialand businessdelegationsexchanged between thekingdom andGermanyin order tostrengthen the partnershiplevelinbusiness developmentand common interestsbetween the two countries.
Al Qahtani saidduring a meeting withthe Germantrade delegationorganizedyesterdayin JubailEastChamberbranch andwas attended bymembers of theChamber ofBandarAl-JabriandNayefal-QahtaniandNajibSeihatiCommissionerGerman Industryand Commercein the KingdomAndreasHrzinrotrimpressivelyand a number ofbusinessmen inthe two countriesthatHrzinrotrmade acleareffortto supportthis partnershipbetweenrepresentatives ofthe private sectorin each of theFederal Republic of Germanyand the UK,especially after theopening of the"German Office"herein Jubail Industrial City.
Al-Qahtanisaidduring a meeting withdelegation headed byDeputy Energy MinisterDr.Kvanathat theGerman companyhas a strong presence,and good reputationin the Saudi market,for itshigh quality products,andthe experiences ofhigh-tech,as there isin thedomestic marketof more than 400German companies,exceededThecombinedinvestment of$ 8 billionlimits, according to thedataof the General Authorityfor Investment,andon this occasionwe look forwardto theentry of moreGerman companies,to take advantage ofthe economic policy,and the packageof incentivesannounced by theGovernment of the Kingdomto foreign investors.
AlQahtanithatallthese facts,make usnotepromising futureof economic relationsbetweenGermanyand the kingdom,wherethe trade exchangebetween the two countriesamounted tomore than46.6billion riyals,of which44.8billion riyalsimportsSaudi Arabiafrom Germany,whilethe Saudiexports amountedtoGermany,only1.8billion riyals,but we expectthis figure risesif weorganizemore jointexhibitions,mutual visitsbetween economicdelegationsof the two countries..for our part,we are in theEastChamberconfirm that weare fully preparedto cooperate withGerman companies, in order toprovide supportfor effortsto identifytrade and investment opportunitiesin thekingdom.
AlQahtaniwent onsaying:We haveinthisleadingindustrial cityanda risingnumber ofsuccessful experiencesof a number ofinternational companies, including theGermanwell-known companies,operating in theoil, gas and petrochemicalfields,whatwe observeon the list ofmembers ofthe Germantrade delegation,we findparticipationof 25 companiesrepresentinga range of productsand services in theareas of construction, oiland gas, renewable energy,transportation,metallurgy,environmentaltechnology, hardware,and engineering services..all of theseproducts and serviceshave avery brightprospectsin theUK,particularly in theindustrial city of Jubail.
For his part,DeputyMinister of Energy, Dr.Kvanasaid theredevelopedbetweentrade and economic relationsbetween the two countrieshas beentaking place indifferent areas, stressingthe role that theefforts ofthe private sector insupportof that relationship.
He saidthat the delegationfocuses on providingGermanexpertiseina variety of sectors, notablycomesafter salesand technology transferservicesand provideadvanced technologyand basicsupport services.
