Renewals increased by 9% from last year
Al Rashid: The increasing number of members reflects the progress of Chamber in the region
Al Wabel: A Marked expansion in the customer services and developing its economic and social role
A recent survey by Asharqia Chamber shows the increasing number of membership and customers from businessmen and businesswomen of the Eastern Region, where the number exceeded 42 thousand according to the survey of December 2010, a figure described by the Chairman of the Chamber of Abdulrahman Bin Rashed Al Rashed as the largest and highest in the chamber history, pointing to the increased numbers of renewals by 9% than in 2009.
Al Rashid has attributed the increase in the number of customers to the progress in the chamber in the provision of services to its members and its eagerness to attract more to its membership, as the growth in membership included customers from all categories: excellent, first, second, third, and fourth.
Confirming that this survet involves the economic development in the Eastern Region along with the efforts made by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahad and his deputy Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaad to form and support the investment environment and overall economic growth in the Kingdom.
On the other hand, Chamber Acting Secretary-General Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel who has linked this rising number to the great performance of Chamber in all areas.
He pointed to an increase of Authentication and Registration Procedures in 2010, equivalent to 7% for the year 2009, an increase of certificates of origin by 15% from last year, increase number of commercial competitions by 25%, and Sale licensing by 26%, increasing number of the services provided to members of the Premier (Special Services Center) almost by 10%, and above all the increase of services provided to all customers by 20%.
Indicating that the number of branches board meetings (Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Khafji, Jubail, and Al-Qatif) amounted to 20 meetings, and the number of Tuesday meetings for the mentioned branches amounted to 41 meetings.
Nonetheless,Al Wabel stressed that the development of services, customer satisfaction is the major catalyst of the Chamber, referring to the establishment and development of new branches services centers in various provinces and cities of the region reflects the constant attention of the Chamber to improve services provided for businessmen and women in these provinces.
