Malaysian companies offering cooperation in the (green technology industry) in Eastern Chamber
Secretary General of the East Chamber focused on strengthening trade ties between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia during the opening of the exhibition catalogues on Wednesday February 12 2014 organized by Chamber headquarters in Dammam. Alwabil said during the meeting which saw the attendance of Trade Commissioner for foreign trade development authority of Malaysia (MATRADE) Khairul Anwar Abdul Halim said the two countries have special business relationships with major companies like Saudi Telecom and a number of banks a strong presence on the market of the Malaysian economic plus at least 10 specialized manufacturing projects approved with the participation of the Kingdom with an investment of up to $ 61.2 million, and in return, a number of Malaysian companies significant market presence with great investments.
Anwar said during the fair, involving more than 50 Malaysian company for various products and services such as construction, building materials, green technology, oil and gas, machinery and equipment and auto parts, plastic moulds, medicines and foodstuffs, furniture, consulting and training, the fair aims to promote trade and economic relations between the two countries, adding that the trade exchanges grew exponentially, with two-way trade last year 2013 to 3.07 billion dollars. Malaysia exported to Saudi Arabia worth 1.09 billion dollars in other Asian countries exported 1.09 billion dollars.
Anwar also called on Saudi businessmen to visit various trade fairs in Kuala Lumpur and to identify more opportunities for successful investments, adding to the work in progress on the establishment of the international halal products exhibition (MIHAS) which is held annually during the period 9-12 December 2014 where aims to facilitate access to sources of halal products and services of high quality from all over the world, as well as international trade fair (INTRADE) which breed Kuala Lumpur from 26 to 28 June 2014. And browse the attractions of Malaysia, saying that Malaysia has become a favorite destination for Saudi tourists with more than 73,000 tourists during the year 2013.
