In the extended meeting of Asharqia Chamber:
A number of lawyers and legal consultants in the Eastern Province have called to prepare a regulation of lawyer training, on condition that it includes items that preserve the rights of all parties, and considering that the training contract is the contractual link between the lawyer and the trainee without the need for work contract
They also called in the extended meeting of the law sector and legal consultations that was held by the lawyers committee and legal consultants in Asharqia Chamber (last week) for the necessity to raise the level of awareness and legal culture for the lawyer, and not only training for long periods, but added to that the short courses and public educational lectures, also the dialogue sessions and workshops. Therefore, the meeting, that was held in Asharqia Chamber has witnessed the confirmation of the importance of communication and cooperation with the University of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd represented by the Department of Law, as there was a notification of the features of training the male and female students, and organizing lectures, seminars and workshops, Asharqia Chamber has declared represented by the committee of lawyers and legal consultants its readiness for the cooperation in this regard, and it has formed a working team to visit the university, to discuss the details .. stressing its intention to organize a variety of events about regulations and arbitration and so on ..
Lawyer / Khalid Bin Abdul Latif Al Saleh, Chairman of the Committee of lawyers and legal consultants in Asharqia Chamber, said that this meeting was important for all lawyers and legal consultants, as it has proved the importance of communication between practitioners of the profession, and has offered some suggestions that remove whatever might stops the improvement of the legal profession and highlighting the role of the lawyer in society .. explaining that the legal profession is facing many difficulties including the lack of serious and effective application of the system of law and its implementing regulations, also the absence of a regular statement that obliges economic business sectors of the institutions and commercial companies to appoint a legal consultant to it of licensed lawyers, since the legal consultant is of no less importance than the accounts observer, which is stipulated by the new system of companies, besides the irregular presence of foreign law companies and companies that implement many contracts regarding consultancy, acquisition, integration and customization, and that involves a loss to the Saudi lawyer and an unfair competition.
Al Saleh thanked the Ministry of Justice represented by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. / Walid bin Mohammed Al Samani and Minister of Justice, the in charge Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, of the efforts made to protect the legal profession and the procedures taken especially those related to the work of a lawyer with other authorities such as the Ministry of Trade and Investment and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development regarding facilitating the work of the lawyer .
