The Committee of Lawyers and Legal Advisors at Asharqia Chamber, during a meeting of lawyers' diwaniya that was held on Monday at the headquarters of the Chamber, highlighted the subject of developing the profession of law in terms of coverage of the work of custody and judicial liquidation and the courts of enforcement, especially the exercise by others of the profession which requires habeas corpus, pleadings and submission of memorandums.
During the diwaniya, which witnessed a significant presence of lawyers in the Region, the obligations and rights of the lawyer and what are the requirements to practice the profession with all independence and neutrality and professional and behavioral obligations were discussed.
The Chairman of the Committee of Lawyers in the Chamber, Khalid bin Abdul Latif Al-Saleh, talked about the need to find controls and rules for the work of the custody of companies and legacies and the need to establish conditions in the appointment of either liquidator of the company or the estate, the most important of which is obtaining a license to practice law.
Al-Saleh pointed out that the courts of implementation are part of the general judiciary and that the parties to the dispute must be represented by licensed lawyers, whether in the implementation of judicial decisions or in implementation disputes, all that is stipulated in the system is the jurisdiction of the enforcement judge.
Al-Saleh praised the role played by the Ministry of Justice in organizing the profession, facilitating the work of the lawyer and emphasizing the application of texts and the provisions of the system of legal proceedings and its executive regulations before all courts.
Lawyers' Diwaniya also addressed ways to protect the profession from practicing law without a license, as well as urging lawyers to cooperate and provide advice among themselves and abide by the provisions of the law and its executive regulations and purifying the profession of the outsiders.
The diwaniya witnessed an open dialogue between the lawyers as they expressed their suggestions and questions about the development of the profession and how to overcome the difficulties it faces.
