On Monday, October 1, 2018, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Committee of Lawyers and Legal Advisers, organized a meeting of the lawyers', which witnessed a large presence of lawyers in the Eastern Province.
The meeting highlighted the positive effects of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 on the profession of law and the new job opportunities that resulted therefrom, as well as the law firms and their future career prospects.
"The vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 with the objectives of diversifying the economic base and increasing foreign investment and the entry of large companies to the Saudi market reflected positively on the profession of law, whether the diversification of disciplines (banking, technical, financial and tax) or with regard to law firms that are now a safe haven for companies without resorting to one-person offices," the lawyer Omar Al-Hammad said.
He pointed out that the vision of 2030 has made the lawyer a partner in the judicial process. He expressed his optimism about the legal profession and its promising future.
Al-Hammad explained that the establishment of successful law firms is done by following the theory of (RKF), which is a theory based on three levels each of which is important in the success and continuity of law firm. The first level concerns the person negotiating with the client.
He stressed the importance of the presence of this person in the law firm, as being the primary responsible for attracting customers.
He said, "the negotiator is not required to be familiar with the writing of regulations or attend meetings, however, his work is limited only to attracting customers."
He noted that the negotiator should be characterized by social intelligence, which enables the individual to deal with others and influence each other and urge them to do their wishes and take their hearts.
With regard to the second level that should be available in law firms, he called is "the kitchen business", it is known as documents and contracts adviser.
He pointed out the importance of this person to be proficient in dealing with the papers and read between the lines, and does not require him to be a good negotiator or has social intelligence as a negotiator, as it does not deal with customers.
The third and final level is called "the field" that is the framework for lawyers who are brought before the courts, who must be skilled in dealing with the chairpersons of the hearings, at the same time they possess a great deal of social intelligence, the ability to read the language of the face and body, and to know the motives and intentions of others.
Al-Hammad pointed to a range of options for developing social intelligence among lawyers such as following the path of the Holy Prophet, as he is the teacher of humanity, and paying attention to the development of social relations accompanied by frequent knowledge and calm and good spirit and listening to the good customer and talk later and not to blame or criticism too much to others. He advised young lawyers to specialize in one of the branches because of its importance in mastering the work and making progress in their career prospects.
Furthermore, the head of the Legal Committee in Asharqia Chamber, the lawyer Khalid bin Abdul Latif al-Saleh, said that lawyers' meetings will address topics of importance in everything related to law.
He pointed out that the subject of law firms is an important issue at the current stage that will enable lawyers to participate in the formation of companies and the continuation of these companies and provide their legal services over a long period and can be specialized in practice.
Al-Saleh stressed that the subject of the formation of law firms requires special regulation, despite the existence of the system of professional companies and texts related to them in the legal system.
However, international and regional experiences and practices can be utilized and adopted.
He pointed out that it is possible to prepare a proposal containing most forms of participation and the terms and conditions that are included contracts and strengthen the practices and applications that are accessible to the willing.
The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the lawyers, and presented their proposals and inquiries about the law firms and how and the importance of launching them in light of the changes that the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, as well as the new regulations that have been approved and the work of the Lawyers Committee in the Chamber and how to participate in the provision of lawyers in the region.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the legal committee in Asharqia Chamber, Khalid bin Abdul Latif Al Saleh, gave a memorial shield for the lawyer Omar Abdullah Al - Hamad.
