Investors in the telecommunications sector are looking to strengthen investment and Localization
The East Chamber communications and information technology Committee reviewed several important themes were major challenges for the sector, notably the localization industry, investment and encourage domestic industries like other industries during the expanded meeting organized by the Chamber Wednesday, November 5, 2014, headquartered in Dammam. The Chairman Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Sheikh, who chaired the meeting, attended by a remarkable number of subscribers and investors in the Saudi market to encounter many ideas that would contribute to the development of the principles and standards of the industry in the private sector. The attendees discussed several bases for stimulating investment environment as well as mechanisms to encourage entrepreneurs to invest in the sector such as: financing, organization of conferences and events that increase awareness and facilitate actions of government transactions, as well as economic policies which are to provide a favorable environment for domestic investment. Pointing to the need to develop plans and programs to improve the investment environment and encourage capital investment in telecommunications and information technology sector.
The meeting focused on the means to ensure quality education and the training of local manpower and qualified national cadres and to support resettlement policies also encourages local industries in national companies. The meeting also discussed building a foundation for it to diversify its sources of income and prices of telecommunications services to corporations for a discrepancy between prices for individuals and businesses, the need for special classification of information technology and support for business incubators in the State sector and a mechanism to support companies in tenders in addition to challenges facing the sector with the Office work.
