An official at the Saudi Innovation Center confirms:
Investment opportunities for small and medium enterprises in the fields of water technologies.
Saeed bin Ali Al Shahrani, Director of the Saudi Innovation Center for Water Technologies, said that there are tremendous opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to engage in many activities related to water technologies and provide some of the requirements of Desalination Conversion Corporation.
Shahrani said during a lecture organized by the Asharqia Chamber on Wednesday 30 October 2019 that the center is the result of cooperation between the Desalination Conversion Corporation and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises The center focuses on facilitating access to supply chain management and marketing of technical projects in the water sector and promoting the growth rate of business in the water sector in the Kingdom through the Saudi Network Water intentions.
He expressed the readiness of the Center to support entrepreneurs as the Center was established to promote innovation and support entrepreneurship through the formation of a pioneering system based on infrastructure development and assistance in the development of local companies and small and medium enterprises to enhance the effectiveness and the final results of the incubated projects, in order to align the goals of the Kingdom Vision 2030 Nationalization of the spare parts manufacturing sector to increase the local output of manufacturing and provide job opportunities for Saudi youth.
Al-Shahrani explained that the center offers two main programs for companies, factories, small and medium enterprises, and entrepreneurs in the water sectors. A qualification program for new entrepreneurs and start-up entrepreneurs to support these projects through follow-up and training on the latest management methods for small and medium enterprises.
He pointed out that the reverse engineering laboratory means the process of recording the two-dimensional and three-dimensional mechanical parts for the purpose of improving their performance and recycling through local factories and small and medium-sized enterprises, where the process of reverse engineering will help to identify gaps in the local industry to meet the needs of the institution desalination of saltwater.
