In a general lecture that was held in Asharqia Chamber, a female specialist said that the success of projects depends on the qualifications of their leaders.
Rana bint Mohammed al-Maghams, a trainer specialized in the field of small projects, confirmed that "The good project begins with a good idea" and the good idea depends on certain qualifications of the owners. The idea is "a precise and short description of the project". She warned of several factors that lead to failing in the application of ideas and in project management.
In a lecture held recently in Asharqia Chamber under the title "Define the idea of your project,"Al-Maghams said that this perception comes through answering several questions: (What) needs will be met by the project? (what) will the project sell ? (who) are the customers ? (how) will the product or service being offered by the project be sold?
Al-Maghams believes that the good idea that would produce a good project is characterized by a number of specifications. Most notably is that the product or service is the request of a large number of customers who are willing to pay a price that provides a good profit for the project. Then, the owner must have experience and good skill of the idea. He/she should has the ability to provide all the information required of the customers, as well as the strong incentive to provide customers with that service or commodity.
The lecturer presents a number of proposals in order to reach good ideas for projects. She believed that the idea should be realistic, attractive, suitable for the market, convenience, low-risk, and long-term.
As for the reasons for the project orientation, Al-Maghamis believes that many of those who start their private projects have specific ambitions or dreams that official jobs could not meet, and may be for financial reasons or personal reasons. Some believe that exploiting opportunities is an interesting challenge worth trying. Others consider that the establishment of a project of their own is one of the factors of professional development (professional reason). And some believe that projects achieve a certain social status (social reason).
Hence, she thinks that everyone who embraces this approach is asked to discover the extent of his willingness to manage his project. In fact, he/she must know that the success of the project depends mainly on the owner and not others; "Your financial status, your personal qualities, your skills, and your knowledge will affect the results of the project."
She mentioned that different cases of fear appear in front of entrepreneurs such as the fear of failure and the fear of making errors and etc.
Al-Maghams monitors a number of reasons that lead to failure, which considered as a ghost of the entrepreneurs.
The most important of these are: the search for quick profit, putting the project's development in the last priorities, the belief that the project operates automatically and does not require care, and the belief that the project will profit from the beginning and will not face any problems.
