Insurance Committee in Asharqia Chamber discussed the most prominent achievements made within the strategy of application of the cooperative health insurance system on targeted segments of private sector employees and their families during a recent meeting at the chmber in Dammam.
Committee Chairman Salah Bin Mohammed al-Jabr, said that the committee reviewed an extensive report submitted by the Secretary-General of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif.
Al-jabr explained that the report contained information on the health insurance market and it's significant growth, indicating that the cooperative health insurance system is achieving different benefits, including psychological,social and economical stability.
For his part,al-Sharif said through the report that the General Secretariat of the Health Insurance Council will open new branches in both Jeddah and the eastern region as part of plans prepared for the Secretariat of the Council when achieving the standard operational indicators.
The head of the e-Secretariat program administration Eng. Wael Aldhasee explained that the Council is implementing the project "the exchange of electronic transactions for cooperative health insurance " in the endeavors to establish a core network of electronic transactions for health insurance designed to create a call center and a national database has flexible updated information and accommodate all insured people and accredited health service providers.
