5.3 billion riyals is the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Qatar
The delegation of the Asharqia Chamber's Young Businessmen Council begins a practical trip to the sisterly State of Qatar, which begins on Sunday, October 27, and continues until Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
The Chairman of the Council, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Afaleq, confirmed that the trip comes within the Council's work program according to its plan for the current year, and aims to identify the economic potential and investment opportunities that Saudi entrepreneurs can benefit from in partnership with their counterparts in the State of Qatar, and to enhance aspects of the economic partnership between the two countries, noting that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Qatar increased by 93.86% in 2023 compared to 2022, with a value exceeding 5.3 billion Saudi riyals.
The Council delegation is scheduled to meet a number of government officials, and they will also hold meetings with a number of local investors in various sectors, in addition to meetings with entrepreneurs in both countries, along with field visits to a number of entities and companies.
Al-Afaleq said that the visit aims to enhance trade and economic relations between Saudi and Qatari entrepreneurs within the framework of ongoing cooperation that is in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030, and to open doors for young investors, in addition to reviewing qualitative investment opportunities and highlighting the Kingdom's initiatives and incentives it adopts with the aim of attracting foreign investments, noting that the Council's visit is in line with the aspirations of the leadership in the two countries towards higher horizons of fruitful cooperation. Al-Afaleq stressed the positive and effective role played by the Saudi-Qatari Business Council in supporting economic relations between the two countries, which facilitates communication with economic entities and sectors in Qatar, indicating that the Business Youth Council came to raise the level of performance of business sector institutions in the region, especially youth ones, and that such visits aim to enable young people to learn about experiences in the fields of economic development and the most important economic forums and exhibitions in various countries. The delegation will visit the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Qatar Development Bank, Qatar Business Incubator, and the Investment Promotion Agency in Qatar.
