The Executive Council of Business Women
in Asharqia Chamber adopts the development of women pioneering
to run their own project, and their wealth in a professional way, and for this
purpose it holds a series of events such as lectures, seminars, workshops and
public meetings.
The
report issued by the Council reviews the activities of the Council the year
2016, within its study of the problems and difficulties faced by business women
in the business sector and the appropriate solutions and transferring them to the concerned authorities by the Chamber, and
suggesting ways to improve the performance of the business women sector, and
discussing the issues referred to the Council of the Board of Directors of the
Chamber or the Secretariat or national committees and the recommendations will
be consulting regarding that, therefore,
the Board held 19 meetings, including 9 major meetings and 10 meetings and four from the board.
The
report said that in January in this year, Asharqia Chamber received from His Excellency the
Minister of Labor, Dr. Mufarrej Al Hagbani and the members of the Council
participated in meeting him, the businesswomen recommendations were transferred most prominently the solution for random
employment problem which works in an irregular manner, and giving more
visas as needed for the activities for
women in accordance with the growth of
its activity, the application of the private individuals Nitaqat system and giving the ability of the institution to know
the previous career record of the new employees.
During
the reporting period, several meetings and visits held within the business
program «Tamkeen » of the Council and General Electric visited
to discuss ways of cooperation to serve business women and young women to enable
them to improve their business in line with new developments.
In
February Tamkeen program was held entitled "The role of the municipal
councils in supporting the business sector" the meeting hosted the two members
of the Municipal Council, in Dammam, Dr/
Sumaya Al Sulaiman and Dunya Al Gaber the two members of the municipal council in
Qatif Khadra Al Mubarak and Arafat Al Majid, and during
the meeting, they reviewed the role of
the municipal councils and their power and fields of supporting the interests
of the business sector.
In
February, also within the business development program, which means to increase
communication with businesswomen in different sectors, the Executive Council organized
a delegation of women and young women to visit the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Bahrain which reviewed a number of mutual
investment opportunities and learning about developments in the business sector
Within
the same program also the council held
the communication divan presented by Noof Al Turki and Noor Shabib and was held to discuss
the role of Saudi women and opportunities in the current period and
achievements of the last ten years in addition to the major challenges facing
Saudi women in the business sector.
Also
in the month of March a program held titled Know Your Rights, about the
new governmental proceedures and obstacles faced by women, and the program hosted
the owner and director of Itijahat
Almamlakah, for Public Services Office Noura Muhammed Al Matari, In the
meeting that highlighted the most
important difficulties faced by businesswomen in the governmental agencies procedures
as well as the most prominent risks that might face with the lack of
observation by themselves.
In
the extended meeting for businesswomen in the Eastern Region titled: «Added
value tax in the Gulf countries applied and its effect», and the guest of the meeting was Shadi Abu Shaqra the director of the indirect taxes in Pricewaterhouse
Coopers in Saudi Arabia.
