The General Secretary of Asharqia Chamber, Abullah Al-Nueim, and a delegation from the General Secretariat recently visited the Director of Passports and Immigration for the Eastern region, Fahd Al-Humaidi as part of the program entitled "Development Partners", which the Chamber started in the beginning of 2008.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed opening new channels of communication and raising the level of planning and cooperation in order to serve the members of the Chamber and the objectives of the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration.
Al-Nueim praised the development of services provided by the Directorate in this vital sector, especially the electronic services and said he is looking for further cooperation with regard to business issues.
Al-Nueim said during the meeting that his visit aims to increase close cooperation between the Chamber and the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration in order to ensure that the efforts of the business and government sectors build a common strategy for the development of the Eastern Region.
They also discussed organizing a program of meetings and regular visits between Chamber officials and the heads of government ministries and agencies in the Eastern Region.
The meeting was attended by Asharqia Chamber's Assistant Secretary for Public Relations and Media, Sami Abu Suraih, Director of Media and Publishing, Qusay Al-Badran, the Director of Passports and Immigration for King Fahad International Airport, Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Shalafaan, Director of the Technical Division, Captain Mua'la al-Utaibi, and Director of Public Information, Muqbil Al-Say'iri.
