Asharqia contractors applaud the new decision to initiate a commission for contractors
The construction committee members has applauded the chamber of commerce’s decision of approving the organization of the Saudi Commission for contractors. They asserted that this decision would have a significant role in reducing non-performing and delayed projects, which the construction sector suffers from having. They stressed that the launch of the Commission will be a great stimulus to minimize the negatives that pass on the sector, it will help find radical solutions to the obstacles faced by contractors. The commission will serve as a reference and official umbrella for national and foreign contractors. It will facilitate their work, and provide proper consultation related to their field. Abdulhakaim AlAmmar, member of Ahsarqia chamber board of directors led the Committee; he shared his sincere Thanks to the chairman and members of the National Committee for contractors. He thanked for accepting the invitation to host Asharqia chamber in the next periodic meeting of the National Commission for contractors on November 03, 2015, which will coincide with the "development projects – the reality and aspirations" forum.
They considered establishing the Saudi Organization for contractors, as one of the main supporting foundations needed for the construction sector. One of the most important duties of this organization is to speed up the restructuring of the sector and the integration of its components, which are individual and family enterprises, to form a giant entities like foreign companies. This plan, which the Saudi Organization is following, should pave the road for contractors and investors in this sector, and will the construction sector becomes an attractive environment for new investors. This will limit the phenomenon of connivance; in addition to it will contribute significantly to speeding up economic development projects. It is expected that the coming period will witness a quantum leap in the sector, which will be the Ministry of Commerce and major industry and the important role, through the establishment of this body as possessed of expertise in this sector will push forward to playing an important role in the overall economy of the Kingdom.
The meeting also was attended by a delegation from the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), comprising Abdullah Al-Osaimi -Ali Dkhail Allah, and Ahmed Asiri, who gave a brief about the company's business and its achievements and plans, and the most important next general projects. The delegation explained the company’s mechanism and modalities for rehabilitating Contractors and assigning in the company. On the other hand, the members of the committee expressed their deepest felicitations on the National Day. They asserted that this occasion would make us review the list of achievements and development plans. It is a chance to compare the economic situation this year and earlier with our situation in the past. Our national economy has grown since then, to reach its current state. It reached this state firstly becasuse of God, - and the wise leadership. We are very ambitious, and we will not stop, our aspirations and achievements will continue to grow.
