Asharqia Chamber signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Society for Energy Economics

Asharqia Chamber signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Society for Energy Economics on Saturday (May 1, 2010), the agreement was to cooperate in organizing programs and lectures to support Energy Economics, the initiatives and ideas related to energy issues.
Agreement was signed between the two parties, Chamber General Secretary and the Energy Society Chairman, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Sahlawi.
AlNuaim said that chamber and Saudi Society are keen to give energy its significant importance which fits the Kingdom position as a leading global producer of energy.
He explained the Chamber support to the Energy Society which comes from the fact that we encourage every initiative that we believe for its benefit outcome to the national economy.
For his part, Dr. Al Sahlawi explained that the energy society was established to expand knowledge in matters of energy and economic impact for the Kingdom, Saudi Aramco, King Fahd University of Petroleum had an active role in the establishment of this society.
Al Sahlawi said that the chamber role is a step carries with it the long-term vision, to realize the importance of this society, and the importance of the Eastern Region as an energy core in Kingdom.
He mentioned the society activities which includes all kinds of energy, whether renewable energy or conventional energy, especially as the Kingdom is making great efforts in technology transfer in areas of renewable and alternative energy such as solar and atomic energy.
Al Sahlawi stated that the society is keen to represent its membership in all sectors, both academic or corporate sector, pointing out that within the activities comes the plans to set up courses and studies, research and forums that discuss energy topics.
