Asharqia Chamber reviews the achievements of Saudi women on International Women's Day
In keeping with International Women's Day, the Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Women's Empowerment Centre, organized on Monday evening, March 4, 2024, a dialogue session within the International Day event entitled "Ambassadors of Change," in the presence of the two members of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Nouf Al-Turki and Aghareed Abdel-Jawad.
The session was hosted by the owner and CEO of the Dr. Laila Al-Enezi Medical Complex, Dr. Leila Al-Enezi, the fashion designer and owner of Prism Fashion House, Amina Al-Jassem, and the founder and CEO of Nouf Al-Sudairi Fashion Group, and it was moderated by the director of the Women's Empowerment Centre in the Chamber, Hanan Al-Wabel.
The participants in the dialogue session reviewed the inspiring stories in their professional journey, and the most prominent challenges they overcame. They also talked about the empowerment endeavours that Saudi women are currently experiencing under the directives of the wise leadership - may God protect them - and the attention they give to women and work to benefit from their energies and capabilities to serve and develop the country. To achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2023.
Nouf Al Turki, a member of the Board of Directors, said: The Kingdom was launched under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince according to a clear vision that provided opportunities to empower women and support their participation in the ongoing national development. Saudi women are facing successive achievements and gains, and they have already begun to reap The fruits are making their mark in building their society, by increasing their share in various sectors and fields that extend from education and sports to the judiciary and the military sectors to reaching political positions and senior administrative positions, and here we see day after day the pride in Saudi women within their society and their success in life and work.
Al-Turki explained that these achievements and gains require us to reach a high level of quality and effectiveness in our performance, so that we can live up to the trust and appreciation that our rulers have given us, and to strive to participate seriously in achieving the goals and aspirations of our ambitious vision, which emphasized that women are one of the most important elements of moving the Kingdom towards the future.
It is noteworthy that the Asharqia Chamber has always kept pace with International Women's Day by organizing various activities, as a culmination of the achievements made by Saudi women, in which they emphasized the high status of their status and the level they have reached, as they were able to take pioneering steps in line with the culture of society, the developments taking place, the changes of the era, and its outcomes.
