​Asharqia Chamber reviews privatization and sports investment​

Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Investment and Studies Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports, organized a meeting entitled "Investment and Privatization in Saudi Sports Clubs" at the Chamber's headquarters, in the presence of a number of businessmen, entrepreneurs, specialists and those interested in sports investment.

The meeting, which was attended by the member of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hamad, and the Director General of the Ministry of Sports Branch in the Eastern Region, Tariq bin Muhammad Al-Qahtani, and presented by the Director General of Investment at the Ministry of Sports, Eng. Mansour Al-Muqbil, and the Director of the Privatization Department at the Ministry, Badr Al-Juraisy, reviewed the features of sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and highlighted the sports dimension of football in particular from the investment aspects, and aspects of investment in the privatization of club ownership, and the steps and procedures for offering to investors, and responding to inquiries received in investment and privatization in sports clubs.

The meeting, which was held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, comes within the Chamber's activities to open investment opportunities for the business sector in the Eastern Region, and enhance aspects of sports investment in cooperation with relevant authorities in order to achieve Saudi Vision 2030, which will contribute positively to the gross domestic product.
