Asharqia Chamber reviews "Legal Establishment of Women's Salons and Beauty Centers Sector"

Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Women's Salons and Centers Committee, held an expanded meeting for the sector on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024, entitled "Legal Establishment of the Women's Salons and Beauty Centers Sector", at the Chamber's headquarters.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of Intesaf Law Firm and Legal Consultations, Attorney Ahmed Sharahili, and the founding partner in the company, Attorney Omar Al-Zahrani, who discussed the importance of legal establishment for salons, noting that it is a major step towards regulating the sector, which has a positive impact on salons and the national economy, and sets a clear framework that protects stakeholders and increases the chances of success.
The speakers said during the lecture, which was moderated by the head of the committee, Dr. Malak bint Muhammad Balharith, that legal establishment is an important step towards regulating commercial activities related to salons, as it aims to define these salons and their activities and define the rights and duties of employers and workers in the sector, which ensures the provision of a safe work environment, encourages investment, in addition to raising the level of oversight to ensure compliance with all standards.
They also stressed that the meeting aims to examine the reality of women's salons and centers, as well as their legal establishment mechanisms, and to recognize wrong practices in managing their human resources, in addition to identifying common mistakes in drafting contracts related to the sector, and exploring its future, especially in light of the new economic trends to work on localizing the sector to maximize its role in the national economy. For her part, Dr. Balharith explained that the women's salons and beauty centers sector is one of the most attractive sectors for Saudi women's investments due to the many elements of success available within it, perhaps the most important of which is its direct reliance in its entire economic cycle on the female component, and there is no doubt that our wise government "may God protect it" has taken many serious steps to improve the work environment of women's salons and centers, as it has eased the requirements for obtaining licenses, and amended the controls for practicing the sector's activity, which has led to raising the efficiency and quality of the sector and supporting it with qualified local cadres, in addition to raising the value of its commercial activity.
