Asharqia Chamber organizes a workshop to introduce e-commerce support services in Jubail
Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Jubail Business Council, organized a workshop to introduce e-commerce support services and ways to benefit from them in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monsha'at".
The workshop reviewed important axes, the most prominent of which was the growth of e-commerce and support for its establishment. The workshop discussed the e-commerce support project, which aims to stimulate its activities in this sector and enhance the ease of doing business in it, raise the contribution of e-commerce to the national economy, enhance its reliability, and support the sustainability of development and growth in this sector.
Mubarak Al-Mishal, The Chairman of the Jubail Business Council, indicated that the project is in line with the requirements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which emphasizes economic diversification, creating an attractive environment for investment and job opportunities in new areas, supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises, and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
He explained that the projects have achieved great results in this field, as the sector witnessed an increase of about 47,000 in the number of small and medium enterprises benefiting from e-commerce and an increase of about 237,000 in jobs created directly by small and medium enterprises operating in e-commerce.
Based on the authority’s message about simplifying and accelerating the transition of small and medium-sized enterprises to e-commerce and enabling the economy to grow by developing and providing services and programs that support enterprises and ensure the facilitation of e-commerce work and growth in a prosperous and sustainable system, the authority has established a comprehensive and short page explaining the journey of the online store, intending to qualify existing establishments that wish to start e-commerce and simplify and accelerate their transformation or entry into e-commerce by providing them with the information necessary to start e-commerce, linking them to training, consulting and financing services for this activity, in addition to linking them with service providers for establishing e-stores and documenting their stores through known.
